Real Madrid Target Moves for £50m Man United and Tottenham Pair

La Liga side hope to land Old Trafford and White Hart Lane youngsters.

Real Madrid are said to be lining up moves for Tottenham youngster Sandro and Man United striker Javier Hernandez as Jose Mourinho looks to his Bernabeu board to back him in the summer transfer market. The La Liga giants are looking to put pressure back on Barcelona as they look to bring in further young talents to boost the club’s hopes of wrestling European domination back from their arch rivals Barcelona.

Mourinho is on the look out for fresh attacking options after Real Madrid’s threadbare attack was highlighted by long term injury to Gonzalo Higuain that led to the need to depend on Karim Benzema who has recently kicked into form but the Portuguese boss is keen on Mexican international Javier Hernandez who has been in fine form at Man United and the La Liga side will struggle to persuade Sir Alex Ferguson to consider offers.

The Real Madrid boss will hope to lure Hernandez with a move to Spain and will make a substantial offer for the 22 year old Guadalajara born striker. Chicharito’s form has been such that Ferguson has been forced to drop the Premier League’s top scorer, Dimitar Berbatov, to accommodate the youngster.

Mourinho is also said to be interested in Tottenham midfielder Sandro who has put in some very effective displays this season, especially whilst on Champions League duty. With Real Madrid reportedly open to offers for French international Lassana Diarra, there may be room for the Brazilian international.

Harry Redknapp is in many ways suffering side effects of a terrific season that has led some of his top performers to become very real targets of Europe’s elite. Rafael Van der Vaart, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric are currently the subject of huge interest from club’s who have been impressed by the form they have shown consistently throughout the domestic and European campaigns.

Offers for the pair will run to around £50m and the former Chelsea boss will be looking to president Florentino Perez to back him over the summer as he looks to freshen up a squad that already possesses some of the to young talent in Europe. In order to help finance such deals it is thought that Kaka may be sacrificed as well as squad players such as Fernando Gago and Sergio Canales.

Liverpool Target £32m Creative Trio as Kenny Dalglish Looks to Reshape Anfield Attack

Anfield side plan significant summer moves.

Liverpool are reportedly looking to inject some creativity this summer and will make moves for three attacking targets in the hope that one or more of those approached will move to Anfield. Director of Football Damien Comolli has identified Barcelona attacker Jeffren as a potential target whilst Kenny Dalglish continues to court Blackpool playmaker Charlie Adam and will enter the race to sign Aston Villa contract rebel Ashley Young.

All three targets are within the Merseyside club’s price range and all would help provide ammunition for January arrivals Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. Liverpool’s new owners have no qualms about investing significant funds on players who have good sell on value and are keen to avoid paying for players over 30 years of age.

The purchases of Suarez and Carroll were covered by the sales of Fernando Torres and Ryan Babel and as such Dalglish will be given plenty of money to spend this summer when the Scot is expected to sign a long term deal after a successful period as caretaker boss.

23 year old Barcelona man Jeffren has struggled to make an impact and may jump at the chance of a new challenge and a move for the Venezuela born former Spanish Under 21 international would be similar to the move that Comolli secured for Giovani dos Santos during his stint at Tottenham.

Scottish international Charlie Adam has set his heart on a big move this summer and some sources believe that the former Rangers man is very interested in a move to Liverpool but could be swayed into a move to Old Trafford.

Ashley Young would help add much needed width to Liverpool’s attack, especially as Maxi, Joe Cole and Dirk Kuyt offer a less direct threat from the wings, however the Aston Villa man is also the subject of interest from Man United. The England international seems likely to leave Villa Park having run down his contract and with only a year left on his current deal come the summer, Gerard Houllier will probably elect to sell now rather than keep an unhappy player and lose him for nothing at the end of next term.

Manchester United Target Ultra Violent Owen Hargreaves Replacement

Old Trafford keen on young Belgian with penchant for red cards.

Manchester United target Axel Witsel will leave Standard Liege this summer after telling the club he wants to go. The combative midfielder – who once copped an eight-match ban for a horror lunge that broke a player’s ankle – has been at Liege for five years. And Witsel, 22, has told club officials he intends to leave in the summer, sparking a Europe-wide fight for his signature.

Witsel snapped the ankle of Anderlecht’s Marcin Wasilewski in 2009 and received death threats over the x-rated tackle. The feisty midfielder has since gone on to become one of the most sought after players in the Belgian league, but Witsel wants out of Liege and a move to a major European club. Manchester United have monitored Witsel before – as well as Liege team-mate Steven Defour – while Chelsea have also scouted the midfielder in the past. And Liege are preparing for life without him following talks at the club last week.

Axel Witsel is indeed a talented up and coming midfielder with a great deal to offer but his career has become more well known for his shocking challenges rather than his ability to break up opposition attacks he is known for breaking legs. There was of course the very famous incident from 2009 when he put in an x-rated tackle on Marcin Wasilewski, the kind of which would make the likes of Nigel De Jong wince, but that isn’t the only time Witsel has pulled off a shocking tackle.

The 22 year old has a history of such incidents, in April 2009 he deliberately kicked an opponent whilst on international duty and was banned for four games and then six months later was the infamous leg break challenge against Anderlecht. Last December he received another red card for a deliberate stamp on a Cercle Brugge player after which he bizarrely blew kisses to the opposition supporters on his way off the pitch.

In some ways Witsel if more like a Paul Scholes as he does drive forward and scores his fair share of goals but it is thought that Sir Alex Ferguson’s interest relates to his apparent need to add more steel to his midfield. Owen Hargreaves is unlikely to be offered a new contract in the summer and the likes of Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick and Anderson offer various attributes but none of the trio are strictly defensively minded.

Paul Scholes himself is clearly a less advanced player than he was in his pomp and much speculation suggests that Ferguson is ready to bring in midfield reinforcements, but would he really make a move for this bruiser?

Liverpool Target £10m Real Sociedad Winger But Taye Taiwo Looks To Be Heading To AC Milan

Anfield club chase wide-man but will lose defender to San Siro giants.

Liverpool have set their sights on Real Sociedad winger Xabi Prieto but look set to lose out on Olympique Marseille defender Taye Taiwo.

The Sun reports manager Kenny Dalglish will offer the La Liga club £10million for their local star.

The Kop idol realises his team have little natural width and need a player to supply the crosses for another new signing Andy Carroll.

Prieto has demonstrated this ability for the last eight years in Spain scoring 33 goals. He has been likened to Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia.

But Liverpool are unlikely to land Marseille left-back Taiwo.

The Nigerian is out of contract in the summer but looks to be heading to Serie A leaders AC Milan.

The Anfield club were favourites to sign the 25-year-old but the lure of the Champions League proved too much for Taiwo to turn down.
