Turin side keen on Emirates contract rebel.

Juventus are preparing a £13.2million move for Arsenal’s unsettled left-back Gael Clichy. The Frenchman has been a regular at The Emirates since Ashley Cole’s departure to Chelsea in 2006 but his form has been indifferent this season. Clichy’s contract runs out at the end of next season and he has been stalling on a new deal, and now the Italian giants look ready to swoop.

Juventus are struggling in Serie A this season and they have stated their plans to rebuild their squad in the summer. And according to Tuttosport, director Fabio Paratici has listed Clichy as a key transfer target and he has flown to London to discuss a deal with Arsenal.

Things have not been going very well for Arsenal left back Gael Clichy in recent months. Having had a fairly up and down season it seems that the French international is not getting the contract he is looking for and is therefore pushing for an Emirates exit, he has also been dropped from the national team following the return of Patrice Evra from suspension.

There are apparently many interested parties keen on landing the 25 year old attack minded full back and Juventus are the latest to make their interest known and Arsene Wenger may well think long and hard about accepting any offer of worth, not least because he already has a ready made replacement in Kieran Gibbs sitting in his squad, as well as Armand Traore as a possible back up.

Clichy has been at the North London club for eight years and has amassed over 250 apperances and is the only remaining member of the 2003/04 invincibles side still at the club.
